It’s one of the things so many of us find hard to do.
There are so many misguided beliefs and concerns around us being able to or willing to say it.
NO.
So simple and yet so difficult.
It is the one thing that stands between you and your self-care.
It is the boundary we all need to learn to put in place and hold.
It is one of the most challenging things to master but once you have you never look back.
It does not mean I don’t want to help.
It does not mean you are not important.
It just means ‘not right now’, (or this week or maybe even next).
It does sometimes mean never.
I am still allowed to say it though.
So, today's Mental Health Awareness Challenge is to say “No”.
Calmly and with a smile.
And take back the time you have just saved for yourself.
